Series FLEX Foundations of Reading (900 & 901)
This Series FLEX assessment provides an assessment option for candidates who attempted the ILTS Early Childhood Education (206) test at least twice and did not pass but scored very close to the required passing score. Candidates who meet this eligibility requirement have the opportunity to submit the Series FLEX assessment rather than retaking the ILTS Early Childhood Education (206) test.
For Series FLEX, candidates provide a written analysis of a National Evaluation Series™ test objective to demonstrate the depth of their subject matter knowledge, rather than completing a multiple-choice exam. The Illinois State Board of Education determined that two objectives within the Series FLEX Foundations of Reading test aligned to existing objectives in the Language and Literacy Development subarea on the ILTS Early Childhood Education (206) test; therefore, these two national-level objectives will be available as options to Illinois test takers.
Candidates who pass Series FLEX will meet the Early Childhood Education (206) content test requirement for their license.
When you register, you must agree to abide by all testing rules and policies.
